Love in Brief (a.k.a. Love in Ten Lines)

Inside love, selves reveal.
Inside love, walls topple.
Inside love, minds accept.
Inside love, hands lift.
Inside love, smiles restore.
Inside love, eyes converse.
Inside love, bodies know.
Inside love, tears vow.
Inside love, hearts marry.
Inside love, souls intersect.

Regarding the challenge:
Love is a topic so multifaceted, so complex; impacting all relationships, all aspects of life. It is a topic that is of such immeasurable importance and something I think so often about, in all of its contexts. This post was inspired by a challenge to write a poem about love in 10 lines of 4 words each, including the word ‘love’ in each line. I encourage you to take up the challenge if you’re interested too. I chose to write about true romantic/partnered love, but there are no limitations here.

The final part of the challenge involves sharing one’s favourite love quote to go with the poem. It was immensely hard to choose, because I’d guess that love is one of the most written about topics that exists, and there are so many that resonate with me….

Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies. ~ Aristotle
